Corner of Creativity!
Corner of Creativity is a 6-week therapeutic painting program designed by LOUD Art Society to support mental wellness, emotional regulation, and personal growth through creative expression. This hands-on, beginner-friendly experience blends painting, self-reflection, and community building in a safe, supportive setting.
Through hands-on creative practice, participants cultivate patience, perseverance, and focus, while also experiencing improvements in mood, memory, and overall well-being. Whether you’re discovering art for the first time or reconnecting with your creativity, this program provides a calming and empowering outlet for self-expression and reflection.
Summer 2025
Week 1: Colour & Emotion
Create a colour wheel infused with emotional meaning, using guided prompts to explore how colour connects to feeling.
Week 2: Landscape Painting – Reflecting on Your Environment & Space
Start a nature-inspired painting that reflects both external surroundings and inner emotional states.
Week 3: Completing Your Landscape.
Finalize your landscape painting with support and guidance, and explore how art can offer a sense of place, memory, and calm.
Week 4: Self-Portrait & Self-Compassion
Explore how you see yourself through self-portraiture — a powerful tool for practicing self-love and acceptance.
Week 5: Personalize Your Portrait
Add creative elements that reflect your identity, story, or symbolic strengths. This stage fosters a sense of agency, imagination, and self-recognition.
Week 6: Abstract Expression + Group Reflection
Let go of perfection and explore abstract painting as a way to express emotion freely. We’ll close the program with a reflective group conversation to share insights, experiences, and creative breakthroughs.
